318 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine A former academic professor, administrator and psychology educator at West Virginia State University for 12 years, Dr. Elizabeth Taylor Brown retired from her academic positions in 1997 after accruing 34 years in the fields of education and psychology. At the inception of her career in 1963, she served as a staff psychologist at Standard Oil Ohio before becoming a lecturer and assistant professor at Case Western Reserve University. Departing from the university in 1971, Dr. Brown went on to serve as an associate professor at Cleveland State University for the following 14 years. Dr. Brown notably holds a Bachelor of Arts from the Ohio State University and PhD from Washington University in St. Louis. She previously served as a consultant psychologist at the Juvenile Court of Cuyahoga County in Ohio and was a member of the personnel of Research, Inc., in Cleveland from 1966 to 1981. Civically involved as well, Dr. Brownmaintained affiliation with the League of Women Voters, the Arts & Education Council of St. Louis, the Self Art Center and the State of Missouri for Foreign Affairs. Among the notable highlights of her career, Dr. Brown is proudest of the many articles she wrote for publications within her areas of interest. She also cites her marriage to her late husband Dallas Coverdale Brown Jr. as a crowning achievement, as he provided unwavering support in all of her endeavors. She is a doting mother of one child, Eugene, and grandmother of one grandchild, Lincoln. Born in Cleveland on January 2, 1930, Dr. Brown currently resides in Twinsburg, Ohio. A member of Links, Inc., and Alpha Kappa Alpha, she enjoys tennis and painting in her spare time.
