341 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine D r. Manfred S. Kaminsky has been the sole proprietor of Surface Treatment Science International in Hinsdale, Illinois, since 1986. A former physicist with the Argonne National Laboratory, he served the laboratory as a research associate, assistant physicist, senior physicist, director of the Surface Science Center CTR program and director of the tribology program between 1958 and 1986. At the inception of his career in 1952, he was a lecturer at the University of Rostock, having thereafter served as senior assistant in the Physical Institute of the Philipps University of Marburg from 1957 to 1958. Drawing upon a PhD in physics, magna cum laude, from the Philipps University of Marburg, Dr. Kaminsky was also a German Research Society fellow and first diplomate in physics at the University of Rostock, as well as a German Research Society fellow at the Philipps University of Marburg. A patentee in the field, he has co-edited numerous texts and contributed articles to professional journals. Likewise, he was an honorarymember of the American VacuumSociety in 1986. Furthermore, Dr. Kaminsky was named the Outstanding New Citizen of the Year by the Citizenship Council of Chicago. PHYSICIST Surface Treatment Science International Key Biscayne, FL MANFRED S. KAMINSKY, PHD H ailing from a lineage of fish farmers and aquaculture researchers, Dr. Ivar Holmefjord decided to follow in his father and grandfather’s footsteps in the seafood industry. Serving first as a fish farmer for Bolaks Ltd. in Eikelandsosen, Norway, from 1981 to 1983, he went on to serve as a research assistant at the Institute of Aquaculture Research in Sunndalsøra, Norway, after obtaining a candidatus magisterii from the University of Bergen in Norway in 1984. Remaining with the institute for the following 16 years in increasingly responsible positions, he subsequently served as director of Real Seafood Ltd. from 2000 to 2013. Since 2014, he has been the director of Green Salmon Ltd. Dr. Holmefjord holds a master’s degree and PhD from the University of Bergen. A former sergeant in the Norwegian Army, he has maintained affiliation with the Norwegian Association of Aquaculture and the International Council for the Exploration of the Sea.
