363 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine T homas J. Perrone was inspired by his father, who was a building trades practitioner and enjoyed tinkering with radios. Introduced to radios while in high school, Mr. Perrone developed a basic understanding of radio circuitry and design that helped motivate him to pursue an engineering-oriented education at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Receiving a Bachelor of Arts in economics, political and engineering in 1965, he subsequently became a weather officer in the U.S. Air Force, leading him to earn a second Bachelor of Science in meteorology from Pennsylvania State University in 1967. Upon leaving the Air Force, Mr. Perrone pursued weather forecasting for a number of private firms, eventually leading to his positions in weather research and computer programming with the U.S. Navy and National Weather Service. From there, he became contracted to work with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) through Logicon, Inc., where he aided in the procurement of radar and related technical equipment that employed computer-related electronics and functionality. During this time, he earned a Master of Science in systems management from the University of Denver. Since 2015, he has served as a private practice consultant in Clarksburg, Maryland. Aside from professional development, Mr. Perrone is an avid music enthusiast and has been involved in singing for church choirs and in a barbershop harmony group. Equally passionate about jazz music, he enjoys pursuing musical ventures in an effort to balance his professional with his personal life. Likewise, he enjoys supporting various charities, including a church-associated charity based in Selma, Alabama, called the Edmundite Mission that aids the poor. He feels his financial contributions have made a significant difference. As a testament to his success, Mr. Perrone was highlighted in the 23rd edition of Who’s Who in the East, published in 1990. He maintains membership with the American Legion and is a former member of the American Statistical Association, American Meteorological Society and National Weather Association. THOMAS J.
