Earlier, he held roles as a regional director, senior director of marketing, and senior management positions, working alongside his mentor, Matthew Leal. Losing his father at age 16, building his career became a necessity for Mr. Thompson, putting college on the backburner. However, he never allowed his setbacks to dictate his future. After building a career and a corporation, Thompson joined a prestigious degree program at Purdue University and is set for an early 2020 graduation, while continuing to build the next phase of Lumegent. The time, effort and dedication Mr. Thompson gave remained focused without sacrificing his true passions: family, maintaining his affiliations in charity work, donating and volunteering, and mentoring. He has donated and volunteered with many youth programs and non-profit organizations. Most recently, he has supported the veteran-focused Save Protect Foundation with full marketing development and materials. He also works on the career development of athletes and performers looking to reach their dreams, most recently with his continued support of Sean Sweeney, “The Cowboy,” an elite CrossFit athlete. When asked about his driving force behind his success, Mr. Thompson said, “Without a doubt, my wife, my Jillian. She’s my “why,” along with our daughter, Keiren, my sister, Samantha, and my mom, Dee Ann. Together, those girls give me the motivation each day to build a life they deserve and do things that make them proud. It’s not an easy road to find success.
