97 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine at Chapel Hill between 1980 and 1983 and the University of Nebraska at Lincoln between 1977 and 1978. Drawing upon a Bachelor of Arts from Concordia College, Master of Arts from Pacific Lutheran University and PhD from the University of Nebraska, he subsequently served as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Michigan between 1978 and 1980. Alongside his primary career endeavors, Dr. Kahle sat on the board of directors of the Organization for Economic Initiatives in Eugene, Oregon, from 1988 to 1996, having previously been president of the Commission on the Rights of Aging from 1987 to 1991. Likewise, he participated on the Human Rights President’s Council from 1988 to 1991. During his tenure, Dr. Kahle contributed articles to esteemed journals and authored and edited numerous books. Most recently, he edited “Consumer Social Values” in 2019 and authored “Belief Systems, Religion and Behavioral Economics: Marketing inMulticultural Environments” in 2014. Dr. Kahle is the chair of the membership board and on the council representative of the American Psychological Association. From 1997 to 1998, he was the president of the Society for Consumer Psychology. Likewise, he maintains affiliation with the American Marketing Association and Association for Consumer Research. In recognition of his outstanding contributions to his industry, Dr. Kahle has accrued numerous accolades. The recipient of the Stotlar Award for Education from the Sport Marketing Association, he also earned a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Consumer Behavior Special Interest Group of the American Marketing Association and National Research Service Award from the University of Michigan. However, he cites the highlights of his career to be learning about social values and how they influence individual’s choices. A professor at Pace University since 2018, Dr. Lynn R. Kahle formerly served the University of Oregon, including as a James Warsaw professor, in the Department of Marketing for 34 years beginning in 1983.
