98 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine scattering models and Chew-Low extrapolations, on the uniqueness of the interaction involving spin 3/2 particles, on parton transverse momentum effects and QDC, and on higher order QCD calculations. He also participated in the Monte Carlo study of the spin 1 Blume- Capel model. Cited widely in his field, he recalls being cited on his work on spin 3 ½ particles as a crowning achievement of his career. As a testament tohis success, Dr. Kimel received a University-Wide Excellence in Teaching Award in 1991 and had a professorship named in his honor, “The J. Daniel Kimel Professorship of Physics.” He has also been highlighted in many editions of Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in American Education, Who’s Who in Science and Engineering, and Who’s Who in the South and Southwest. The proud father of four children, he also has two grandchildren. He enjoys music, reading, bicycling and gardening in his spare time. D r. J. Daniel Kimel has been honored as one of the pioneers of high energy theory within the realm of physics. The recent co-author of “Superconductivity Revisited” with Dr. Ralph C. Dougherty in 2012, which can be purchased on Amazon, he served as a professor of physics at Florida State University in Tallahassee for 15 years between 1988 and 2003. Nownamed an emeritus professor, he previously served the university as a director of graduate affairs within the Department of Physics, assistant professor, associate professor and research associate beginning in 1966. At the inception of his career in 1965, he was a research associate at the University of Wisconsin-Madison for one year. Drawing upon a Bachelor of Science in physics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a Master of Science and PhD in physics from the University of Wisconsin- Madison, Dr. Kimel was notable as a fellow of the Woodrow Wilson Foundation and National Science Foundation during his graduate and doctoral studies. He maintains affiliation with the American Physical Society and Sigma Xi. Among his notable achievements, Dr. Kimel is most renowned for his research on double- J.
