169 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine A t the inception of her career in 2005, Brigitte N. Kimble served as a project manager for William F. Collins, AIA Architects, in East Setauket, New York. Holding the position for four years, she pursued a Bachelor of Architecture in architectural technology during her tenure, graduating from the New York Institute of Technology under a Brett Kaufman Alumni Scholarship in 2007. During a brief stint as a construction manager for Pulte Homes in Central Islip, New York, in 2007, Ms. Kimble discovered her love for engineering, finding that architecture did not challenge her enough. From there, she began serving as a project engineer for P.W. Grosser Consulting in Bohemia, New York, for seven fruitful years. Since 2016, she has been an engineer for Brookhaven National Laboratory. Alongside her primary career responsibilities, Ms. Kimble has dedicated her time to civic causes, equally avid about community outreach programs. She was a mentor to summer interns at Brookhaven National Laboratory for one year, having also volunteered for Habitat for Humanity International, Adopt-A-Highway and Timothy Hill Children’s Ranch. Holding many designations, Ms. Kimble was certified as a Project Management Professional in 2012, and a welding inspector, asbestos handler and LEED green associate in 2015. She is tremendously proud of her progress in the industry and enjoys being in the field, watching projects being built and inspecting them along the way. She maintains membership with the American Welding Society, the U.S. Green Building Counsel and the Project Management Institute. In light of her exceptional undertakings and successes in engineering, Ms. Kimble was named in Who’s Who Among Executives and Professionals from 2006 to 2007. However, she notes that the highlights of her career have always been catering to her clients’ needs and doing what is necessary to complete a project on time and under budget. Looking toward the future, she intends to ascend the ranks to project engineer and obtain more certifications in the energy field. She also hopes to complete a master’s degree in project management and operations. BRIGITTE N.
