175 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine in 1973 as vice president of export operations. Returning to Dearborn in 1979, he served as the executive director of small car planning for five years before ending his tenure with Ford. From 1984 to 1986, he was employed by Chrysler Motors in Detroit as vice president of advanced product development, having subsequently served the company as vice president of program management, chairman and managing director until 1989. He spent three of those years in Mexico, which was a thrilling time of his life. In the latter half of his career, Mr. Reickert served Acustar, Inc., as chairman and chief executive officer from 1990 to 1991 and Chrysler Corp. as vice president of powertrain operations from 1991 to 1992. Concluding his career in 1996, his final roles were president and chief executive officer of New Venture Gear, Inc. Alongside his primary responsibilities, he sat on the board of directors of Truck Components, Inc., in Rockford, Illinois, for one year. Proudest of turning Chrysler from a struggling business to a thriving business, Mr. Reickert maintains membership with the Society of Automotive Engineers, the Engineering Society of Detroit and the Harvard Business School Club of Detroit. Demonstrating versatility in his profession, he authored the book “Sail the World” in 2017. Born on August 30, 1935 in Newport, Tennessee, Mr. Reickert has been married to his wife Lady Susan Willis-Reickert since 2009 and has two children and five grandchildren. He enjoys photography, traveling and sailing in his spare time. He has been selected for inclusion in several editions of Who’s Who in Finance and Industry, Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in the Midwest and Who’s Who in the World. U pon graduating from Harvard University with a Master of Business Administration in 1965, Erick Arthur Reickert desired to delve into the manufacturing industry.
