194 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine D rawing upon the encouragement set by her parents since childhood, Carol Zielger Champagne challenged and overcame barriers in achieving goals. She is a retired tax preparer for H&R Block from 1979 to 2019 and became an IRS Enrolled Agent. At the inception of her career, Ms. Champagne was a computer systems analyst and programmer for Brockton Taunton Gas & Electric Light Co., Factory Mutual Research Corp. and Peoplesmith Inc. Ms. Champagne also served as a home tutor and consultant for The Scituate Schools in Massachusetts. She was also a stringer for the Mariner Newspaper. A past administrative assistant of the Talbots Inc., Reebok, and the American Baptist Church of Massachusetts, she also spent time as a legal secretary for Driscoll & Davis. Civically involved as well, Ms. Champagne maintained significant involvement in Massachusetts Hockey, serving as an executive board member for 30 years until becoming a lifetime board member as director-at-large. She was also inducted into the Massachusetts Hockey Hall of Fame in 2013. Alongside her primary responsibilities, Ms. Champagne has also been an inventor and patentee in the field of fire protection. In light of her educational background, she also engaged with Scituate Public Schools on the administrative advisory committee and school advisory committee. Further, she became an enrolled agent in 2008. Ms. Champagne holds a Bachelor of Arts in mathematics from Carleton College and Master of Education in secondary education from Bridgewater State University. Happily married to the late Robert Champagne for several decades, she is the proud mother of two children, Thomas and Corrin.
