203 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine A t the inception of her career in 1977, Roberta Lee White served the Multnomah County Auditor as an office manager. During her time with the auditor, she showed a flair for finance and decided to pursue the field. Subsequently serving as a research assistant for Dan Goldy & Associates for two years, she went on to become the regional assistant for Vocational Rehabilitation until 1985. From there, she served as an internal auditor for Multnomah County until 1989 before becoming a consultant, a role she held she two years. From 1991 to 1993, she was a financial analyst for the City of Portland, Oregon, later returning to this role from 1997 until her retirement in 2011. Punctuating these appointments, she was a comptroller for Wordsmith Service from 1993 to 1997. A licensed tax preparer in the State of Oregon since 1991, Ms. White attended Linfield College, graduating cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in 1976. After gaining prominence in the industry, she attended Lewis and Clark College and received a certificate in public administration in 1980. During her tenure in finance, she notably worked on 13 audits that were published for creating change in the City of Portland and Multnomah County. Attributing her success to her unwavering dedication to learning and reading, Ms. White also served her local community as the treasurer for the Mary Wendy Roberts for Secretary of State campaign in 1992, having previously maintained involvement in Re-Elect Mary Wendy Roberts in 1990. She was also a committee member for the Implementation of the American Dental Association in Portland. Likewise, she is a former member of the Women’s Political Caucus of Portland and active parishioner of the Beaverton First United Methodist Church. As a testament to her success, Ms. White received the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award in 2019 and was selected for inclusion in approximately 50 editions of Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in Finance and Business, Who’s Who in Finance and Industry, Who’s Who in the World and Who’s Who of American Women.
