204 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine A native of Quebec, Canada, Paul Connell Vilandré commenced his career as a lieutenant in the Royal Canadian Navy in 1960. During his service, he attended Loyola College in Montreal, earning a Bachelor of Science in accounting in 1963. After the completion of his service in 1966, he earned a Master of Business Administration from the prestigious Harvard University in 1968. From there, Mr. Vilandré worked for a number of prominent corporations and universities in executive and academic roles, including IBM, Intel, Oracle, Macrovision Inc., Digital Equipment Corporation, Menlo College and San Jose State University, acquiring positions with increasing responsibilities. Most recently, he served as chief financial officer of the Computer History Museum in Mountain View, California, from 2004 until retiring in 2005. The former president of the Santa Clara chapter of Financial Executives International, Mr. Vilandré was mentored by the CFO of Digital Equipment Corporation, Al Bertocci, as well as Dr. Bob Hayes, a Harvard professor. In light of his exceptional undertakings, Mr. Vilandré was highlighted in the eighth edition of Who’s Who in American Education and the 27th and 28th editions of Who’s Who in Finance and Industry. Franklin received a Bachelor of Science in commerce and law from the University of Illinois before serving as vice president of Continental Illinois National Bank in Chicago from 1959 to 1973. Relocating to Waukesha, Wisconsin, soon thereafter, he became senior vice president of the board of directors of the First National Bank – a role he held for two years – and president and chief executive officer of the board of directors of the First National Bank in Lincoln, Illinois, from 1975 to 1987. Retiring in 2000, he concluded his career as president and chief executive officer of the board of directors of the Herget National Bank in Pekin, Illinois. Attributing his success to his management skills, Mr. Franklin is a former first lieutenant of the U.S. Army. He served on the board of directors of the Pekin Insurance Co. and the Tazewell Machine Co. A member of the Elks and Rotary International, he has been recognized by the Lincoln Area Chamber of Commerce with a Distinguished Service Award and the University of Illinois Alumni Association with a Meritorious Service Award.
