Specializing in hand and reconstructive microsurgery, he boasts extensive experience in severe hand and upper extremity gunshot wounds and frostbite, infections and mutilation of the hands. Drawing upon more than four decades of experience in surgery, he also currently serves as chief of the Division of Hand and Reconstructive Microsurgery at Mount Sinai Hospital Medical Center, clinical associate professor at the Chicago Medical School and principal instructor for hand surgery at the University of Illinois, Plastic Surgery Division.
