240 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine D r. Douglas William Little is a devoted physician with more than 20 years of experience in medicine. Focusing his practice on the personal care of his patients, with whom he has developed close relationships, he is a former colonel and flight physician for the U.S. Armed Forces, dedicating two decades of his career to the military. Adopting small businesses practices from his experience in the military, he has leveraged the valuable lessons he learned to transition into his current role of physician and FAA aeromedical examiner for Executive Healthcare and Aviation Medicine, positions he has held since 2017. The recipient of an MD from Wake Forest University School of Medicine, Dr. Little previously earned a Bachelor of Arts in zoology from Ohio Wesleyan University and later graduated from the U.S. Air War College, where his thesis revolved around public diplomacy. Additionally, he received a Master of Science in military and strategic leadership through the U.S. Army. To remain abreast of developments in the industry, Dr. Little maintains affiliation with the Army Flight Surgeon Society, where he is a lifetime member. A decorated military veteran, he received the Legion of Merit Award in light of his successes in the armed forces, as well as the Aviation Award for Outstanding Service from the Order of Saint Michael. During his military career, he was trained as a flight surgeon in the U.S. Air Force, serving for eight years. He also served 12 years in the U.S. Army and served tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. The proud father of three sons and one daughter, Dr. Little intends to continue practicing medicine in the future. He looks forward to aiding patients in better wellness and making a difference in their lives.
