HEALTH AND WELLNESS L inda S. Fifer is a passionate and creative speech-language pathologist who has been immersed in her field for over 40 years. A noted expert in speech and language, she has served as a speech-language pathologist for the Community Medical Center in Missoula, Montana, from 1980 to 2002, having previously served the medical center as director of the speech-language department from 1982 to 1986. At the inception of her career in 1975, she was a speech-language pathologist for the Montana Easter Seal Society for four years. Notably, Ms. Fifer was the founder and director of Paws Abilities, a program for which she obtained a grant to train dogs to respond to sound and alert their deaf owners. Drawing upon a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Science from Kent State University, Ms. Fifer is certified through the New York Institute of Art and Design and holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Enjoying theater, creative writing and interior design in her spare time, she was the writer and lyricist for the musical “Eaton Street” in 1986. She was featured in Who’s Who in the West.
