J ohn “Rusty” Wing is a nationally acclaimed criminal defense lawyer who has enjoyed practicing in the criminal justice arena for more than 30 years. A partner of Lankler Siffert & Wohl LLP, he is a former Chief of the Securities and Business Fraud unit in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York. Mr. Wing has represented individuals and entities facing allegations of securities fraud, tax fraud, RICO violations, bribery, antitrust violations, et al. including Fortune 500 companies, law firms, lawyers, bankers, doctors, business executives and political and media figures. Over the years, he has persuaded courts to dismiss indictments and secured acquittals in jury trials in both federal and state courts. He is a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and past President and Director of the New York Council of Defense Lawyers. Writing extensively in his field, he has also taught at Harvard Law School, Columbia Law School and Fordham Law School as an instructor of trial advocacy courses. He has been listed in Best Lawyers in America for more than 30 years and was the recipient of the New York Council’s 2004 Norman Ostrow Award for criminal defense.
