47 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine N ancy L. Yang is a nationally and internationally acclaimed pastel artist and past president of the Pastel Association of Taiwan. Stepping down from her role in May 2019, she continues to service as a coordinator and board member. Discovering pastel art early on, she realized that pastel was the perfect Western medium for expressing Chinese artistic values. Her work has been exhibited in the 45th SOKI Art Autumn Exhibition and 58th SOKI Art Spring Exhibition in Tokyo, as well as the IV Biennial International Pastel Show in Oviedo, Spain. Ms. Yang is proudest of organizing the International Pastel Exhibition in 2014 and 2017 while she served as president of the Pastel Association of Taiwan. Internationally recognized as one of the best pastel shows, the exhibition was unique in that it showcased work of different cultures across various countries and continents. In addition to her other outstanding accomplishments, Ms. Yang won the Artemiranda Award in 2011 and 2013, the Richard Pionk Memorial Award in 2014, the Allen J. Smith Memorial Award in 2015 and the Silver Medal of Honor in Pastels in 2018. ARTIST Pastel Association of Taiwan New York, NY NANCY L. YANG D eWayne A. Williams Jr. is a renowned artist, photographer and author. During his career spanning more than five decades, he worked at the Oregon Game Commission, the Environmental Protection Agency, the National Marine Fisheries Service and the National Park Service. Before that, he was selected by the students of Oregon State University as the Student Union Fine Arts Director. He was recognized for outstanding teaching in art while working in the Canal Zone, and later worked as a graphic artist and museum curator for the University of Montana, where he was Employee of the Quarter. In 1975, Mr. Williams created the “correlative composite photograph,” a multiple-image photograph that confines time through separate concentric images with unaltered imagery and maximum tonal range. His work appears in several books, including “Montana’s Centennial,” and his design was selected for the Missoula County Seal in 1982. He is the author of Montana’s official centennial book, “Montana Tribute,” published in 1990, containing 100 black and white photographs made from 8x10 negatives. Mr. Williams earned a BA in biological sciences from Florida State University in 1966 and MA in interdisciplinary studies from Oregon State University in 1974. ARTIST Boise, ID DEWAYNE A.
