210 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine D r. Roy Davis Linville Jumper desired to make a difference in the world through his publications and affinity for educating others. Finding himself amid several opportunities early on in his career, he first served as a librarian’s assistant at Indiana University Bloomington during his undergraduate studies. Earning a Bachelor of Arts in 1982, he went on to become the assistant managing director of International Business Associates prior to obtaining a Master of Public Affairs from the University of Maine in 1985. From there, Dr. Jumper served as an associate instructor at Arizona State University in Tempe for one year. The recipient of a PhD from the University of Tennessee in 1996, the following year Dr. Jumper began his tenure at Middlesex Research Center with the U.S. Navy, serving as an adjunct professor. Retiring from education in 2004, he has since become a consultant for the Linville Family LLC in South Padre Island, Texas. A prolific author as well, Dr. Jumper has written a plethora of books. The author of “Power and Politics: The Story of Malaysia’s Orang Asli,” he also penned “Orang Asli Now: The Orang Asli in the Malaysian Political World,” “Death Waits in the Dark: The Senoi Praak,” “Malaysia’s Killer Elite” and “Ruslan of Malaysia: The Man Behind the Domino that Didn’t Fall.” Recently, he published “When Armies Die: Kesselschlacht and Aufiragstaktic Verlorne” though CDR Press in 2015. To remain abreast of developments in the field, Dr. Jumper maintains affiliation with the Association for Asian Studies, the American Political Science Association and Phi Sigma Alpha. When asked of his career highlights, he cites his swimming career to be a spectacular achievement. He notes that he was a successful long distance swimmer, which served as a driving force for him to push forward with his career. Swimming was his strength in struggling times. As a testament to his achievements, Dr. Jumper was highlighted in the 57th and 58th editions of Who’s Who in America.
