Sullivan is an accomplished business executive who recently acquired the position of executive director of RA/QA business development at Olympus Surgical Technologies America in 2019. Prior to this appointment, he served the company as the executive director of OSTA regulatory affairs, vice president of Gyrus ACMI regulatory affairs, director of regulatory affairs and corporate quality systems manager beginning in 2002. Earlier in his career, he was a QA services manager at Medical Device Consultants, Inc., as well as a supervisor of corporate regulatory affairs at U.S. Surgical Corporation. He has accrued 30 fruitful years in the field. Specializing in medical device regulation, quality systems compliance, regulatory systems compliance and auditing, among other areas, Mr. Sullivan entered his profession in light of his exceptional education and ability to find new opportunities. Drawing upon a Bachelor of Science in biology from Boston College, he is a senior member of the American Society for Quality, from whom he was certified as a quality manager and quality auditor. Since that time, he has been an associate broker and sales agent for Reece Nichols in Lee’s Summit and Greater Kansas City, Missouri. During his career, he acted in numerous capacities for prestigious agricultural corporations and the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce, as well as the Lee’s Summit Industrial Development Authority for 39 years. Mr. Pressly cites witnessing the American Royal Livestock Show – an annual horse show, rodeo and barbeque competition – to be his ultimate career highlight. In light of his exceptional undertakings, he has accrued a number of accolades, most recently the Civic Leadership Award from the Missouri Municipal League in 2017. Named the 2017 Citizen of the Year by the City of Lee’s Summit, he also received a proclamation in recognition and appreciation of 58 years of civic service in 2016, among many other honors.
