K enneth Weyler served as an officer in the U.S. Air Force from 1963 to 1969 and continued in the reserves until 1993. Driven to politics from his military background, he has been a member of the New Hampshire House of Representatives, representing Rockingham District 8 since 2010. With the House between 1990 and 2010, he has also been a member of District 18; member, deputy speaker and chair of the finance committee; and assistant minority leader. Mr. Weyler received a BS in chemical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1963. A judge advocate for the New Hampshire Veterans Association and a member of Gideon Lodge No. 84, Mr. Weyler was previously a member of the Kingston Planning Board and Regional Planning Commission. Prior to his career in politics, Mr. Weyler was a captain and first officer with American Airlines from 1988 to 2001 and from 1973 to 1988, respectively. He holds a Distinguished Flying Cross and Air Medal with Seven Oak Leaf Clusters. Looking ahead, he is working on making better sense of water pollution and hopes to energize the Republican base in the state.
