164 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine A. Harrison Sarrafian always had an interest in astronomy and engineering, particularly in the realm of aerospace engineering. He received a BS in physics from Southern Methodist University in 1961 and went on to obtain a Master of Divinity from the Talbot Theological Seminary in 1979, where he studied biblical language, granting him the ability to fluently read text in the original languages of Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek. Mr. Sarrafian has also been a student at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and San Jose State University. In 1963, Mr. Sarrafian began his career as an engineer with Lockheed Missiles and Space Co. in Sunnyvale, California. Four years later, he went on to be a member of technical staff at the ITT Aerospace Co., and from 1971 to 1972, he was a consultant of optical engineering at ITT Gilfillan Co. Mr. Sarrafian was a senior engineer at Aerojet General Corp. from 1972 to 1974 and at Organon Diagnostics from 1974 to 1976. For 10 years, Mr. Sarrafian worked as a member of technical staff at Aerospace Corp. and then spent 1995 to 1998 as a software developer and consultant for numerous companies. Mr. Sarrafian’s latest role was at GMAC-RFC as a software developer from 1998 to 2002. A respected and disciplined aerospace engineer, Mr. Sarrafian credits his father as a major influence on his life and career. His father was a top executive at Remington Rand and was a successful sales manager, involved with office equipment and filing systems. Mr. Sarrafian holds a strong background in mathematics, and he has written many computer programs for predicting celestial events with high accuracy. He has written a program that predicts the events of the eclipses on both the sun and moon with impeccable precision. Mr. Sarrafian is a member of Grace Community Church, Kappa Tau Epsilon and the Aerospace Employees Association Video Club and Audiophile Club. Notably, Mr. Sarrafian’s name is engraved on the Wall of Honor in the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center of the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum outside of Washington, D.C. A.
