181 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine G rowing up in rural Wyoming, Trent L. Clark felt a calling to advocate for the land. In 1983, he was hired as staff for the Senator of Idaho, where he was able to see a range of issues that affected rural communities. In 1990, he became chief environmental economist with the Joint Economic Committee Conference, and in 1991, he was state director of the Idaho Farm Services Administration. Between 1993 and 2019, Mr. Clark held positions at Monsanto Co., Solutia Inc., and Bayer US. In 2019, he became president, owner and chief executive officer of Customalting LLC. Mr. Clark is a member of the Idaho Association of Commerce and Industry, Idaho Council on Industry and the Environment, Soda Springs Chamber of Commerce and Rotary International. He was the recipient of the Governor’s Safety Conference Award and a Merit Award from the U.S. Department of Agriculture. However, Mr. Clark is most proud of his efforts in having the Take Pride America Act become a law. Mr. Clark holds an AS and BA from Brigham Young University. CLARK A lan Butler has a strong background in the science world; however, he wanted to dedicate his life to something that made him feel fulfilled. Helping people is where he finds that fulfillment. In 2014, Mr. Butler became the chief executive officer and owner of Butler Brothers Odd Jobs, offering handyman services, roof and chimney repairs, pressure washing, and remodeling, among other services. Mr. Butler graduated from the University of Dubuque with a Bachelor of Science in environmental science in 2009. He has held various positions, including park ranger for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, keeper assistant at the National Mississippi River Museum and Aquarium, and stream technician at the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks. He was also a biologist at the Illinois Natural History Survey, Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries, and the Texas Park and Wildlife Department. Making the switch to his handyman business, Mr. Butler said that he gained a better work and home life balance and control of his own destiny. He was named Best Contractor and Best Maintenance of Manor, Texas, in 2018 and 2019.
