21 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine G rowing up, Shannon Perry Taylor’s parents remodeled every home they owned, and Ms. Taylor fell in love with the process and creativity behind designing spaces. In 1995, she received a BA in interior design from the University of Arkansas, and after working in the commercial painting and wallcovering industries, she went out on her own business ventures. In 2001, Ms. Taylor spearheaded Designs by Shannon, which became Design Details, a small, residential design firm. In 2013, her dream of owning a retail store came true as she opened Barrel & Board. Three years later, Ms. Taylor closed her store and opened Barrel & Board Design, where she now serves as senior designer and works with numerous clients. All of Ms. Taylor’s designs are well functioning and pleasing to the eye. The styles she creates are a mix of the clients’ desires, as well as her own professional expertise. Ms. Taylor is a former member of Universal Design Alliance and is currently transitioning into the project development world. She recently purchased a property on Amelia Island and is excited to see where this endeavor, combined with her knack for design, takes her.
