Dr. Trzasko graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of New Hampshire in 1967. In 1969, he achieved a Master of Arts, and in 1972, he obtained a PhD, both from the University of Vermont. Additionally, Dr. Trzasko completed Air Force officer school as a civilian during the Vietnam War. Since 2013, Dr. Trzasko has been a neuropsychologist as a private practice and from 2006 to 2013, he was a consultant psychologist at Opengate, Inc., in Somers, New York. He was also a consultant psychologist at the Jewish Guild for the Blind in New York City from 1983 to 2002 and the Orange County A.H.R.C. in Newburgh, New York, from 1985 to 2009. From 1980 to 2018, Dr. Trzasko was a staff psychologist at St. Dominic’s Intermediate Care Facility for the Developmentally Disabled in Orangeburg, New York. Dr. Trzasko was also a professor at Mercy College from 1969 until attaining emeritus status in 2008. A member of the American Psychological Association and the American College of Forensic Examiners, Dr. Trzasko is a contributing author to the works “Working with Visually Impaired Young Children: A Curriculum Guide for Birth-3 Year Olds,” and “Working with Visually Impaired Young Students: A Curriculum Guide for 3 to 5 Year Olds.” In 2019, he became certified as a clinical anxiety treatment pofessional. Looking ahead, Dr. Trzasko believes he will go into treating addicts in New Hampshire. He has read that many doctors have turned the corner on addicts, but he believes with the right treatment plan recovery is possible. He attributes his success to the influence of his parents, grandmother and Professor David Howell. B efore entering the world of psychology, Dr. Joseph A. Trzasko started studying mathematics at New York University’s Courant Institute. After heavy studying and formula memorization, Dr. Trzasko realized he would go on to only be a mediocre mathematician at best. He decided that whatever subject in which he got the JOSEPH A.
