254 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine D r. E. Henry “Ned” Lamkin Jr. received a BA fromDePauwUniversity in 1956 and an MD from the Indiana University School of Medicine in 1960. Between 1961 and 1966, Dr. Lamkin completed two residences in internal medicine and a fellowship in endocrinology and metabolism at the Indiana University Medical Center. He chose to pursue a career in medicine after taking an aptitude test, in which he was recommended to become a doctor. Dr. Lamkin was president and chief executive officer of the Indiana Employers Quality Health Alliance from 1993 to 2016 and is a fellow of the American College of Physicians. He is also past vice president and president of the medical staff of Methodist Hospital, and a former member and majority leader of the Indiana House of Representatives. Alongside his career in medicine, he is a contributor to multiple creative works, including in writing and speaking. In light of his success, Dr. Lamkin received the Otis R. Bowen Distinguished Leadership Award from the Dean’s Council of the Indiana University School of Medicine and was named Sagamore of the Wabash by the Honorable Otis R. Bowen, MD, among myriad other accolades. Hatef was inspired to give others the same feeling of confidence he had post-surgery. In 1998, Dr. Hatef received an undergraduate degree, and in 2004, he obtained an MD, both from the University of Maryland. With more than 11 years of advanced training in aesthetic, craniofacial and reconstructive plastic surgery, Dr. Hatef has served in his own private practice in Nashville, Tennessee, since 2015. Prior to spearheading his practice, Dr. Hatef completed a residency in integrated plastic surgery in 2015 and a craniofacial fellowship in 2008, both at the Baylor College of Medicine. He completed his first fellowship in aesthetic anatomical research at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in 2008. Dr. Hatef attributes his success to hard work and his dedication to figuring the best techniques to further advance his practice.
