264 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine O riginally a nursing student, Jenell Butz needed money to sustain herself and began working in the food service industry. Realizing she had the leadership qualities and a natural knack for the field, she continued to work her way up the ladder in the industry to supervisor positions. Since 2016, Ms. Butz has been the catering director of Red Door Catering at Muhlenberg College, and from 1999 to 2016, she was the catering director at East Strasbourg University. Named a Rising Star by Food Service Directors Magazine in 2019, Ms. Butz has also been featured in the May 2019 issue of High Valley Wedding Planning. In five years’ time, Ms. Butz aspires to be the head advisor for up-and-coming food service workers, and she wishes to offer her guidance and experience to help the future of the industry. She would also like to eventually own her own bed and breakfast. Ms. Butz credits her mentors Nick Nicholas and John Pasquarello for instilling in her patience and leadership qualities. With the privilege of learning from great chefs, Ms. Butz said the lessons they taught her were invaluable .
