27 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine ARTS, MEDIA AND ENTERTAINMENT A s the child of a music prodigy and a musical family, Alejandra Febre chose to follow her own path and went into engineering, only to be reunited with music later in her life. She graduated from Tecnológico de Monterrey in Mexico in 1996 with a BS in chemical engineering. After committing herself to music, she earned an AA in music from Lone Star College in Houston in 2019. Ms. Febre’s career began in France, where she was a research assistant at INSEAD from 1999 to 2001. From 2007 to 2009, she was a chemistry, environmental resources and research abilities teacher at Universidad de Monterrey in Mexico. She authored “Nitrogen’s Role in Industrial Systems” in the Journal of Industrial Ecology. Although Ms. Febre enjoyed her time working in the sciences, she knew it was not a career meant for her entire life. In 2015, Ms. Febre became the owner and manager of School of Rock- Cypress, as well as Blue Music Box. She is passionate about providing musical education for children who have the talent, will and desire to become musicians, including her own children. Since opening her studios, Ms. Febre has learned that playing music is about performance and the band environment. School of Rock-Cypress has been named to Best of Music Studio and Lessons by Living Magazine since 2015. Ms. Febre has great ambition, and in five years’ time, she would like to open more music schools. She has faith that this goal is possible because she sees more and more children with an interest in music, and she sees her community growing. Alongside her musical endeavors, Ms. Febre has been treasurer of Troop 156 of the Boy Scouts of America. She was team leader of the Parents Social Committee at the Woodlands Preparatory School from 2014 to 2015, and she was a co-chair of the Parent Teacher Association and Philanthropic Projects at the preparatory school.
