The highlight of Mr. Feldman’s career was his friendship with the late Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia, one of the most influential jurists of the 20th century, who was his godfather when Mr. Feldman was baptized. Mr. Feldman is also proud of being the 2017 recipient of the National Intelligence Director’s Distinguished National Intelligence Public Service Medal. Mr. Feldman is a member of the American Bar Association, Louisiana Bar Association, Missouri Bar Association and the American Law Institute. He is a trustee and former chairman of Station WYES-TV and was special counsel to the Governor of Louisiana from 1979 to 1983, who gave his name to former President Ronald Reagan. This connection lead President Reagan to call Mr. Feldman to ask permission to appoint him to the federal bench. Mr. Feldman’s advice to future lawyers is to learn the value of helping others. A fter switching his major numerous times, Martin Leach-Cross Feldman settled on law. He received a Bachelor of Arts from Tulane University in 1955 and obtained a JD from Tulane’s Law School in 1957, graduating Order of the Coif. That same year, he was admitted to the Louisiana State Bar and the Missouri Bar. From 1957 to 1963, Mr. Feldman served with the U.S. Army Reserves. Since 1983, Mr. Feldman has served as a judge at the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana. In 2010, Mr. Feldman was notably appointed by the chief justice to the U.S. Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court. He called this position a wonderful opportunity to serve his country. He retired from the role in 2017. Earlier in his career, Mr. Feldman was a partner and associate at Bronfin, Heller, Feldman & Steinberg in New Orleans from 1959 to 1983. He also served as a law clerk to the Honorable J.M. Wisdom of the U.S. Court of Appeals from 1958 to 1959. While working for Hon.
