Mr. Latham graduated from Howard University in 1968 with a BA in business administration and received a JD fromGeorgetown LawSchool in 1971. He also holds an MCE fromDartmouth College. He served as assistant general counsel of the White House Office of Management and Budget, general deputy assistant secretary to the Department of Housing and Urban Development, and senior attorney for the Federal Energy Administration. As an attorney, Mr. Latham has been with Shaw Pittman, Reed Smith LLP, Hogan & Harston and Covington & Burling LLP, advising clients in crisis management and diversity representation, as well as dispute resolution, investigations and defends class action lawsuits involving allegations of race, gender, and age discrimination and harassment law. Additionally, Mr. Latham has worked at Checchi & Company Consulting, Inc., Sterling Systems, Inc., and the Planning Research Corporation. Notably, Mr. Latham was the lead counsel for the Barack Obama Foundation Inclusion Council and was the national co-chair for the Hillary Clinton presidential campaign. Mr. Latham was the recipient of the Ronald H. Brown Service Award from the National Black MBA Association in 2002 and was elected into the Washington Bar Association Hall of Fame in 2001. Mr. Latham is a member of the American Employment Law Council, the National Employment Law Council and the Economic Club of Washington, among other organizations. With his distinguished record of public service, in recent years Mr. Latham has discussed diversity, civil rights and political issues on ABC News’ “Nightline,” CNBC’s “Power Lunch,” The New York Times and other national media outlets. W eldon H. Latham is a distinguished lawyer and business leader, and he currently serves as the principal and chair of Jackson Lewis PC’s internal Diversity Counseling Group.
