Since 2015, Mr. Makricostas has served as a municipal judge in the City of Weirton, West Virginia, and has been a partner at Dittmar Taylor Makricostas since 2004. Additionally, he has been a prosecutor and municipal judge for the City of Wellsburg, West Virginia, since 2003. Prior to his current roles, Mr. Makricostas was a partner at Taylor & Makricostas and Gurrera Taylor & Makricostas, and at the inception of his law career in 1997, he served as a clerk to the Galloway & Taylor Law Office. From 1991 to 1993, he was a sales and lease consultant at a car dealership. Mr. Makricostas is a member of the American Association for Justice; West Virginia Association for Justice; West Virginia, Pennsylvania and Ohio Bar Associations; Ohio Association for Justice; Hancock WV County Bar Association; Jefferson County OH Bar Association; National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers; Pennsylvania Bar Association; American Hellenic Educational Progressive Association; Executive Council of the All Saints Greek Orthodox Church; and the County Fiduciary Commissioner.
