71 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine G lenn W. Harding is a prolific world traveler and business executive. Citing his extensive travels as a career highlight, he has notably visited Finland, Greece, the Amazon, Mexico, Egypt, Costa Rica, Guatemala, the Galapagos Islands, Copenhagen, Russia, Canada and the Arctic Circle, among several other locations. After graduating high school at 15 years old, Mr. Harding obtained a BBA from Southern Methodist University in 1949. Subsequently, he attended Texas A&I University and earned a BS in agronomy in 1951. He also holds a diploma in gemology from the Gemological Institute of America. Serving in the U.S. Army in Korea, he obtained the rank of first sergeant. Exceling in his role of office manager at Evergreen Farms and Dehydration Plant for 28 years, Mr. Harding also held his own business, Harding Jewelers, in 1981. Likewise, he has been the president of The Harding Foundation, Inc.; past board member of the Raymond Business Association; and lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church. Mr. Harding is the author of books on the 100-year history of Raymondville, Texas, and 100-year history of Kenedy County. He was honored on the Rio GrandeWalk of Fame and is recognized as a Lifetime Achiever with Marquis Who’s Who. PRESIDENT The Harding Foundation, Inc. Raymondville, TX J anet Holtzman Beattie received an AA from Mount Mary College in 1949 and completed postgraduate coursework at St. Xavier College and Wright College. She was a teacher in South Dakota from 1950 to 1952 before moving to Chicago and building her career in the Windy City. In 1954, Ms. Beattie began working as a paralegal for Petit, Olin & Safeblade for eight years. She then moved on to Touche Ross & Co. (now Deloitte and Touche), where she was a corporate secretary to the board of directors from 1964 to 1982. In 1978, she relocated to their New York executive headquarters to be an administrative director and director of communications. In 1992, she returned to Chicago and became a consultant and trainer for Catholic Charities. Ms. Beattie was named among the Academy of Woman Achievers by the New York YWCA in 1981 and received a Distinguished Service Award based on her commitment to her church and community in 2009. She is a member of the Musician’s Club for Women. Additionally, she served as an editor of “Touche Ross International World Review” and the “Voice of Charity” for Catholic Charities.
