He is a diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry andNeurology (Psychiatry) and a diplomate in behavioral neurology and neuropsychiatry of the United Council for Neurologic Subspecialties. In 2001, Dr. Ferrell became certified in geriatric psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Dedicated to the advancement psychiatry via education, Dr. Ferrell has been an associate professor of psychiatry at theGeisel School ofMedicine at Dartmouth since 1981, previously an assistant professor. ABest Doctor honoree, throughout the 40-plus years of his career, Dr. Ferrell has been a frequent contributor of articles to professional psychiatry journals. Dr. Ferrell is a member of the American Neuropsychiatric Association and a distinguished life fellow of the American Psychiatric Association. He was previously a councilor and is also a fellow with the American Neuropsychiatric Association, a board member of Opera North, and a trustee of the Vermont Institute of Natural Sciences. April Felts received a BS in education from Northeastern State University in 1962, offering her the entryway into her teaching career. Ms. Felts was a teacher at Hilldale Elementary School in Muskogee, Oklahoma, until her retirement in 2000. She also taught at Ruby Ray Swift Elementary School in Texas after obtaining her bachelor’s degree and was the co-owner of the Felts Family Shoe Store from 1966 to 1989. In 1988, Hilldale Elementary named Ms. Felts Teacher of the Year, which she calls her greatest accomplishment. She was also awarded the Silver Beaver Award from the Tulsa Council, the Wood Badge Training Award from the National Council, the District of Merit Award from the Boys Scouts of America, and a 50-Year Pin from Beta Sigma Phi. Ms. Felts is a member of the Hilldale Association of Classroom Teachers, past president of the Northeastern State University Alumni Association and past president of the Xi Zeta Zeta chapter of Beta Sigma Phi, by whom she was named Woman of the Year in 1987.
