118 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine and the Warrick Award for Research Excellence. Dr. Park says he is proud of the Ted & Ruth Braun Research Fellowship he received and his contributions to Korea Foundation Field Research. He has authored numerous papers and books on supply chain management, knowledge creation, creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship. His notable contributions to his field are integration of theories of the firm, and theories and business practices. His recent papers on five Cs creativity model and application of Whiteheadian creativity to corporate creativity are gaining attention from scholars and practitioners. Dr. Park was a member of the American Economic Association, Econometric Society and Regional Science Association International. Dr. Park served as president of the Korea-America Economic Association and president of the Michigan chapter of the Mid-Michigan Korean Association. He is a director of the board for Kyung Hee University International Foundation. A s a distinguished professor, Dr. Hong Y. Park is grateful for a rewarding 53-year career in helping students grow. A former Fulbright and international scholar, Dr. Park became interested in economics and focused his education in both his native South Korea and the United States. Dr. Park has been a tenured economics professor in the Scott L. Carmona College of Business and Management at Saginaw Valley State University in Michigan since 1984, having been with the university since 1975. He served as chairman of the economics department, director of the Center for Economics and Business Research, tenured associate professor and assistant professor. Additionally, Dr. Park was a research assistant at Utah State University and a payroll accountant at Fairleigh Dickinson University. Dr. Park received a BA in economics from Kyung Hee University and MA in economics from Seoul National University. From 1966 to 1968, Dr. Park was a teaching assistant at Kyung Hee; however, he wanted to achieve more. He later returned to his alma mater in 1981 as a visiting professor. In 1968, Dr. Park immigrated to the United States and obtained an MBA in quantitative analysis at from Fairleigh Dickinson University and a PhD in economics fromUtah State University. For excellence in his field, Mr. Park was the recipient of the Distinguished Faculty Award from the Michigan Association of Governing Boards HONG Y.
