After working for his father’s business for a number of years, Mr. Gershengorin opened the Real Restoration Group with 23 projects and a desire to cater to a range of building and construction needs. He has served as founder and chief executive officer since 2011. Having worked on thousands of properties, Mr. Gershengorin and his team have built new homes; restored homes from fire, wind, mold and water damage; and remodeled homes in the greater Chicago area. Likewise, they have rebuilt offices, restaurants, retail centers, nightclubs and industrial parks, among other facilities. The Real Restoration Group also has a team on-call for emergencies 24 days per day, seven days per week. In 2016, the firm experienced a 30% growth with nearly 200 completed projects across all of Real Restorations services, resulting in just under $50 million worth of projects and joint venture partnerships. The Real Restoration Group received an A+ from the Better Business Bureau in 2011 and was named the Best Restoration and Construction Firm by TV Magazine in 2019. The firm was also listed among the Top 346 Workplaces in the United States by INC 5000. Mr. Gershengorin attributes his success to hard work. Since 2016, Mr. Gershengorin has also been a business development executive at Cedar Street Companies. He is a board member for the Family Residences and Essential Enterprises and the Holocaust Museum in Washington, D.C. In five years’ time, Mr. Gershengorin wishes to see an expansion of his business to south Florida and to have the company continue to grow at an expedited pace. Mr. Gershengorin believes the gross revenue of the business will one day exceed $200 million dollars. M orris Gershengorin began working in the restoration business with his father when he was 13 years old. By the age of 16, Mr. Gershengorin was working as an electrician, and knew he wanted to sustain a career in the restoration industry.
