20 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine J udith York Newman has been a Registered Architect since 1964. After graduating from Cornell University, she was a draftsperson then architecture editor on House & Garden and an associate professor at Pratt Institute. She established a practice with her then-husband Richard Newman in 1965, which focused on the West Side Urban Renewal Area and received a citation from the NYC Planning Commission. Their Fire Island residence was featured in Architectural Record and in 1975 Record Houses. Ms. Newman founded an independent architecture practice and SPACED: Gallery of Architecture in 1975. Devoted to historical architectural art, SPACED received a citation from the American Institute of Architects NY Chapter. Lectures included the history of New York City townhouses, public market buildings and architectural renderings. Her board appointments include Cornell University’s College of Architecture Advisory Council and the Paul Rudolph Heritage Foundation. An interest in Mexico and Mayan archaeology resulted in a second home in the Yucatan in 1985. A longer relationship exists with her 1955 SunbeamAlpineMark III, her only car since 1958. Family includes a son, a daughter and two granddaughters. In school, he always excelled in mathematics; therefore, he chose to pursue a career with numbers as he furthered his education. In 1998, Mr. Callahan received a BS in accounting and management from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Drawn to his construction and accounting roots, Mr. Callahan ended up with the best of both worlds. Since 2013, he has served as chief financial officer of MC Builders, LLC, a leading facility maintenance company in the greater Chattanooga area. Additionally, Mr. Callahan has been the owner of Blake Callahan, CPA, CVA, since 2013, where he specializes in individual and small business tax accounting. Mr. Callahan maintains membership with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Tennessee Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He attributes his success to hard work and dedication. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling and spending time with his wife, Megan, and three kids: Sydni, Cooper and Noah.
