292 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine G rowing up, Jesse Gonzalez worked in Minnesota for 17 years as a migrant worker to help his family financially. Witnessing the injustices and hardships in Minnesota led him to a career in law, an endeavor that earned him Best of Thervo in 2019, alongside many other accolades. Prior to his legal career, Mr. Gonzalez was a 12th grade English and elementary school teacher. He received a Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies in 1992 and Master of Education in 1995, both from the University of Texas-Pan American (now the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley). In 2000, he obtained a JD from St. Mary’s School of Law in San Antonio and was admitted to the Texas Bar the following year. Additionally, he studied the origins of English common law at the University of Oxford. Since 2001, Mr. Gonzalez has been the founder and an attorney of J. Gonzalez Injury Attorneys, where he specializes in personal injury, oilfield explosions and wrongful death. He says there are civilians in Texas who pose as lawyers to take advantage of accident victims, and he is dedicated to educating the community about this wrongful doing. He received a Bachelor of Science from Fu-Jen Catholic University in Taiwan, a PhD fromWashington University in St. Louis, a JD from DePaul University and an MBA from the University of Chicago. He was also a graduate fellow at National Beijing University in China. Dr. Feng has worked at a private law practice in Illinois since 1986. He previously practiced at Lamet Kanwit & Davis and Brezina & Ehrlich. Dr. Feng spent a large portion of his career teaching, serving as a professor at Marquette University, the Illinois Institute of Technology, and National Tsing Hua University in Taiwan. He also served National Taiwan University as a Fulbright lecturer. Furthermore, he worked at the Manu-Mine Research and Development Co. in Pennsylvania and was a teacher at Wen-Hua School in Beijing. Dr. Feng calls his greatest achievement to be patenting the method of making fluorinated compounds and for a hot-atom cation defixation method for the production of high specific activity isotopes.
