L iving by the motto “mind, body and soul” during her high school years, Natalie A. Turner chose to pursue a career in science. Ms. Turner loved baking, and while in pursuit of her chemistry degree, she realized how prevalent the science was. It was a natural fit while merging her career goals and interests. Ms. Turner later graduated from McGill University in Montreal, Canada, in 1949 with a Bachelor of Science. Post-graduation, Ms. Turner was a research assistant in neurophysiology at the Allen Memorial Institute in Montreal from 1949 to 1951. She then moved to Boston to be a research assistant at Harvard Medical School from 1951 to 1953. Ms. Turner spent the majority of her career working for the Gillette Company from 1953 until her retirement in 1989. Throughout those 35-plus years, Ms. Turner was a chemical programmanager, a technical service manager to international operations and a clearance officer for Latin America and Asia-Pacific markets. One of the many highlights of Ms. Turner’s career was her contributions to a project funded by the United States government at McGill University to investigate and develop data for a NATALIE A.
