324 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine D r. Eric Jesse Norman received a BS in physics from the Missouri University of Science and Technology before joining the U.S. Army. In 1970, he earned a BA in chemistry from Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville. He obtained anMS and a PhD in 1977, both in biochemistry, from Texas A&M University. He continued to serve with the U.S. Army Reserves from 1974 to 1997. The president of Norman Clinical Laboratory since 1985, Dr. Norman is also the laboratory director of Cincinnati Comprehensive Pain Center, Pain Evaluation & Management Center of Ohio, Amin Family Practice Associates, Dayton Pain Center and Lexar Laboratory. He was also the director of Associated Pain Medicine, Cornerstone Project, Life Spring Recovery, Norman Clinical Laboratory, Inc., DNATesting Services and the Molecular Diagnostic Research Center. Dr. Norman was an Instructor and Assistant Professor of Medicine from 1977 to 1992 at the University of Cincinnati Medical School. An ordained deacon and member of the American Society of Hematology and American Society for Mass Spectrometry, he was awarded the Army Bronze Star and Legion of Merit. Mandt received a BA from Pacific Lutheran University in 1957 and an MS from the University of Wisconsin in 1962. He has taught mathematics and science for over 40 years at such academic institutions as Boisfort High School, Pacific Lutheran University, Central Washington University, University of Puget Sound, University of Washington, Fort Steilacoom Community College and Tacoma Community College before switching to laboratory safety work. He spent the majority of his career at Summer School District, where he was a chemistry teacher and district science coordinator from 1958 to 1992. Mr. Mandt has won numerous recognitions from the National Science Foundation for his workwith the chemistry sciences. One of his awarded projects was verifying the work of scientists who were attempting to find the structure of the DNA molecule. Mr. Mandt is a member of the National Science Teachers Association, National Association of Biology Teachers and the American Chemical Society, who awarded him the Outstanding Chemistry Teacher Award. He was also the recipient of the President Recognition Award and the President Award for Excellence in Science Teaching, among other accolades.
