326 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine D rawn to his faith from an early age, Rev. Regner A. Capener became an ordained minister by the Full Gospel Assembly Church in 1971. He was the eldest of two sons whose parents were missionaries, and he was raised in Eskimo villages in Alaska, where he helped his father construct churches. Beginning his pastoral and public service work by the age of 16, he has since pastored numerous churches. He completed coursework at the University of Nebraska, Southwestern College, Bethany Bible College and the Fuller Theological Seminary and earned a BA in sales and marketing from the General Motors Institute in 1968. Later on in his career, he received an EE Diploma from the Electrical Engineering Institute in 1983. Rev. Capener currently holds numerous positions, including president of Capener Ministries, Regner & Della Capener (R&DC) Ministries and R&DC Engineering; senior pastor at the River Worship Center; and investment banker at MG Holdings, LLC. Outside of his religious endeavors, Rev. Capener previously held engineering positions at KTBY-TV, Action School of Broadcasting, KHOF-FM and Lockheed Missiles and Space Corporation. Rev. Capener’s attributes his success to his father, who was his mentor for many years. The pattern of faith that he saw in his life and how he responded to the Lord gave him a rich heritage that he has passed on to his 12 children, 28 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. The author of “A Tale of Two Brides” in 2013 and “A Tale of Two Husbands” in 2018, he recently authored “Seven Nations, Seven Letters” in 2019. Demonstrating versatility, he has been a pianist since 4 years old and has since contributed hundreds of scripture songs that have been distributed globally. Rev. Carpener is a past secretary of the Rio Grande Valley chapter and Anchorage chapters of the Society of Broadcast Engineers, and a member of the IEEE, National Association of Broadcasters and Texas Association of Broadcasters. He also currently sits on the Council of National Policy and the research board of advisors and as deputy governor of the American Biographical Institute. REV. REGNER A.
