331 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine W ith a BA in sociology from Hollins University, Stuart Lewis Smith has built a career for herself in community service. She serves as vice president of the Coouskin Park Foundation and has worked at the Worth Collection, Stanmar Homes, First Presbyterian Church School and American Red Cross. Ms. Smith has been involved with Spirit of the Valley, Spring Hill Cemetery, YWCA, Avampato Museum, National Museum of Women in the Arts, Kanawha County Cares for Youth, and Archives of American Gardens and Smithsonian Gardens. She maintains association with the University of Charleston, Wonderful West Virginia Magazine, United Way, Charleston Memorial Hospital, Hollins University, and Kanawha United Presbyterian Church. She has contributed to the Briar Hills and Kanawha Garden Club, Friends of Coonskin Park Foundation, Charleston Area Medical Center Auxiliary and Robert E. Lee Memorial Association. An active founding board member of the Ronald McDonald House of Southern West Virginia, Ms. Smith has served for over 35 years. She received the Garden Club of America Directors Award and the 40 Year Board LeadershipAward. Her greatest pleasure comes with the hope that her efforts have made a difference. COMMUNITY VOLUNTEER The Worth Collection Charleston, WV M olly Oberbillig always valued fairness as a child, having previous experiences with neighborhood bullies who invaded her property when she was 9 years old. Ms. Oberbillig was able to defend herself, and she has been fighting for equality ever since. She has been the founding sponsor of the Martin Luther King Junior National Memorial since 2005 and the founder and chair of the Thurston Council on Cultural Diversity and Human Rights since 1995. Outside of fighting for equality, Ms. Oberbillig is just as passionate about conservation. She has sat on the Leadership Council for the Southern Poverty Law Center since 1992 and has been a sustainer for the Rural Advancement Fund International since 1995. She worked as a conservation manager for the Mason County Public Utility District No. 1 from 1975 to 1990. Named Women of the Year in 2012 and 2013 by the National Association of Professional Women, Ms. Oberbillig has completed coursework at San Jose State University, the University of Washington, Antioch College and Reed College. Additionally, Ms. Oberbillig is a member of the American Association of University Women and the National Association of Professional Women.
