145 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine B acked by more than a decade of experience in the operations of an engineering and management consulting company, Jagannadham Kottha specializes in the fields of health, energy and environment. An international scholar, Mr. Kottha received a BE in electronics from Osmania University in India in 1967, an MS in biomedical engineering from Case Western Reserve University in 1976, and an MBA from Baldwin Wallace College in 1978. Since 2003, Mr. Kottha has served as chief executive officer and lead auditor of GMS Registrar. He has also been the owner of the Crestbest Quality Institute since 1995, as well as president since 2003. For 10 years between 1978 and 1988, he was the president of General Systems, Inc., and in 1976, he was vice president of engineering at Environmental Control of Life Systems. Mr. Kottha was also a research and development engineer for Electronics Corporation of India from 1968 to 1970, as well as the owner of BPX Technologies. Mr. Kottha has performed energy audits and obtained government grants for energy retrofitting for Bay Village School District, Wood County Company, Case Western Reserve University and Baldwin Wallace College, among others. He has also designed and built a pre-admission testing system for Lakewood Company, an electronically controlled I.P.P.B. system for home care and company use, and a liquid oxygen system in cooperation with Minnesota Valley Equipment Company. Alongside his direct work, Mr. Kottha has served as an adjunct professor and instructor of quality-related courses at Kent State University, Cuyahoga Valley Career Center, University of Findlay and Cuyahoga Community College. Notably, he was the recipient of a Lifetime Achievement Award from the American Society of Engineers of Indian Origin, where he serves as chairman. Additionally, he is a member of the American Society for Quality, Project Management Institute and the CCMI Institute. Looking back on the numerous years of his profession, Mr. Kottha attributes his success to good karma, persistence and not giving up. Looking ahead, he plans to train his children on how to take over the family business and provide them with a stable and happy life.
