155 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine DAVION M. HILL, PHD C urrently serving as an energy storage leader for the Americas and North America at DNV GL, Dr. Davion M. Hill is backed by a Bachelor of Science in physics fromOhio University and a Doctor of Philosophy in physics and materials science from The Ohio State University. Dr. Hill commenced his career in 1998 as an intern for the Aeroflex Link Corporation. He then spent six years at The Ohio State University as a graduate teaching associate and graduate research fellow. In 2006, he was a research scientist at the Honda Research Institute before spending his first year with DNV as a project engineer for CC Technologies. Between 2007 and 2019, Dr. Hill was also a program materials senior engineer, principal engineer, energy and materials group leader and interim global energy storage segment leader. From 2009 to 2015, he was the founder of RES LLC. Notably, Dr. Hill was the recipient of the 2014 Young Engineers Award and was granted the 2010 Tech Columbus Award. He serves as a board member and vice chair for NY Best National Battery. In 2018, he was named chairman emeritus of NAATBatt International. Looking forward, he intends to experience continued career success. ALLAN JAMES MCDONALD A llan James McDonald received an MS in engineering administration from the University of Utah. He also holds a BS in chemical engineering and an honorary DEng, both from Montana State University. Impressively, Mr. McDonald is the only person in American history restored to his job by an act of Congress. After the tragedy of the 1986 NASA launch of the Space Shuttle Challenger, he led the redesign of the solid rocket motors that resulted in 110 consecutive successful launches and documented his experiences in his book, “Truth, Lies and O-rings: Inside the Space Shuttle Challenger Disaster,” which was submitted for consideration for the 2010 Pulitzer Prize. He holds patents in rocket propulsion and automobile air bag propellants. Employed by ATK Thiokol Propulsion for 42 years prior to his 2001 retirement, Mr. McDonald is a former aerospace engineer and vice president, among other prominent roles. He earned a 1988 NASA Public Service Medal and 1996 Propulsion Commission Medal from France. He is an elected fellow and distinguished lecturer of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics.
