106 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine T hrough his interest and professional background in education, Dr. Ronald H. Miller currently serves as the president of his consultancy agency, Ronald H. Miller, PhD, LLC, where he provides assistance in financial and educational matters. Previously an educator, Dr. Miller is certified to teach K-12 vocal music education and 9-12 social studies in the state of Missouri. Dr. Miller received a Bachelor of Journalism from Indiana University in 1970 and a master’s degree in city planning from The Ohio State University in 1972. Continuing his studies, he obtained an MPA in public policy studies from the University of Michigan in 1978 and a PhD in public administration from New York University in 1990. In 2007, Dr. Miller achieved an MA in teaching from Lindenwood University. Dr. Miller is known for his contributions in creating and operating the NewYork City Regional Center for Life-Long Learning between 1972 and 1976. He later helped construct and edit a student financial aid directory, which sold 110,000 copies, and he has completed a 19-page curricula and was recruited by the National Center for Higher Education Management Systems. In 1997, Dr. Miller was the recipient of the Newcomer Award from the Missouri Association for Adult Continuing and Community Education. Additionally, he has contributed to more than 40 publications and presented at more than 35 events. He attributes his success simply to his knowledge in the sectors of the educational field. In five years’ time, he intends to expand upon his research and update the statistics used for previous articles for comparison. A 1967 member of Phi Eta Sigma, Dr. Miller is on the advisory board for Walbridge Elementary School, is involved with the Children’s Policy Forum Website, Vision for Children at Risk and is treasurer of the Lilian Circle Neighborhood Development Association. In his free time, he enjoys singing in church choirs and Jewish temples, watching Major League Baseball and watching college football.
