Rieger has served as the owner, jeweler, designer and caster of the renowned company, Diamonds by Terry, based in Stuart, Florida. Creating thousands of unique pieces, she enjoys making jewelry for specific people or charities so she can cater the design to their unique personalities. Impressively, she has been involved with nearly 100 different charities since the inception of her craft. Ms. Rieger got her start in the jewelry world in Illinois through jeweler Ken Liggett. With a love for baking, Ms. Rieger made crystal panoramic eggs for Easter and distributed the gorgeous dessert to her family and friends, and she dedicated the last eggs to Mr. Liggett and his wife. Mr. Liggett was stunned by Ms. Rieger’s artistic talent, and recommended she recreate the eggs with gold. From this moment, Mr. Liggett took Ms. Rieger under his wing and trained her to be the distinguished jeweler she is today. The first and only student tutored by the notable Russian jeweler Constance Osmanski, Ms. Rieger specializes in the utilization of diamonds and rubies matched by both gold and platinum casting. In addition to this one-on-one tutoring, Ms. Rieger spent 12 years on a part-time basis studying and perfecting her craft in London’s famed diamond quarter, Hatton Garden, regarded as one of the great jewelry areas of Europe. Diamonds by Terry has been recognized with membership into elite industry organizations, including the American Gem Society, American Gem Trade Association, GIA Alumni Association and the Jewelers Vigilance Committee. Ms. Rieger is also involved with the House of Hope, United for Families, American Heart Association and Hibiscus Children’s Center. Looking ahead on her career, Ms. Rieger would like nothing more than to sit at her bench and to keep designing jewelry masterpieces. Recently expanding her business into a restaurant and tea room, she is excited to watch the success of her business grow, as well as welcome new clientele. TERRY M.
