51 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine LINDA NEARON S pending years as an artist, Linda Nearon chose to refine her work by dedicating her life to her craft. Backed by a BA in history and political science from the University of Utah, Ms. Nearon was a high school history teacher before solely working for herself at Linda Nearon Art Studio, based in Alamo, California. Notably, Ms. Nearon has received the Merit Award for Landscape from the International Salon of Greenhouse and the Excellence Award from the Oil Painters of America for her painting “Heavenly Orchards.” She has been featured in the National Oil Painters of America’s 2013 “The Transience of Light” and Kennedy Publishing’s 2011 “Best of World Wide Landscape Artists.” She attributes her success to her audience connecting with her style and subject matter. Ms. Nearon is a member of the National Oil and Acrylic Painters’ Society and Oil Painters of America, and she frequently partakes in workshops worldwide, specifically with Jian Wu, Kathryn Stats and John Budicin in Italy, to study and grow her repertoire. Her advice to budding artists is to study with other talented individuals and pursue your dreams without any hesitation. THOMAS E. SIMMONS U pon taking creative writing courses during his college years, Thomas E. Simmons found his true passion in writing. With a background that includes aeronautics, port consulting worldwide, engineering, hospitality and military service, he has a wealth of experience and knowledge which enables him to write with a unique, dramatic flair, drawing in readers of eclectic backgrounds. He served two years of active military duty, has been a pilot for over 66 years and flew airshows in open cockpit biplane. He attributes his current day career success to hard work. Following his retirement, Mr. Simmons had the means to utilize his skills and authored eight published works. Most recently, he has authored the 2018 “No Promise Tomorrow” and the 2015 “By Accident of Birth.” His earlier works include the 1990 “Escape from Archangel.” He has received gold medals for “Forgotten Heroes of World War II: Personal Accounts of Ordinary Soldiers Land, Sea and Air,” published in 2002, and “The Man Called Brown Condor,” published in 2012, from the Military Writer’s Society of America.
