114 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine C harles Franklin Reinhart received a BS in 1968 and an MA in 1971, both from Millersville University in Pennsylvania. He had always been known for being an avid record collector, lover of The Beatles and great speaker; therefore, he worked at a radio station. Upon the recommendation of a friend, he applied to an opening as a disc jockey and accepted a job offer from WGAL-AM/FM in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, where he presented the news and played music on the weekends. Mr. Reinhart worked in that position from 1970 to 1976 before moving on to serve as a disc jockey at WQXA-FM in York, Pennsylvania, for 16 years, where he is known for hosting “Breakfast with the Beatles.” The author of the 1981 “You Can’t Do That” and 1985 “The Book of Beatle Lists,” Mr. Reinhart is also known for his 2012 endeavor, “Jimmy Stewart on the Air.” Alongside his radio career, Mr. Reinhart chose to also pursue a career in education. In 1968, he landed his first teaching job at Solanco High School in Quarryville, Pennsylvania, as a science teacher. Two years later, he began teaching chemistry and physics at Columbia High School and remained at the school until 2003. Throughout his eclectic career, his passion always laid with education and the wellbeing of children. To attest to his character and teaching abilities, after his retirement, the school called him to teach again due to a staff shortage. In 2018, Mr. Reinhart was inducted to the Columbia High School Sports Hall of Fame, of which he is also a founding member. He is also a member of the National Education Association, National Science Teachers Association and Pennsylvania Education Association. Mr. Reinhart continued to work as a disc jockey and modern music history writer, and in his free time, enjoyed record collecting. Mr. Reinhart is regarded as a gentleman, loving family man, and hands-on and intelligent professional. He has been featured in the second and third editions of Who’s Who in Entertainment, as well as the 25th edition of Who’s Who in the East. Mr. Reinhart died March of 2018.
