130 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine A rtist, lecturer and advocate of art and special education, Peter James Geisser is backed by more than 50 years of experience as an artist and educator. He received a BS in education in 1969 and an MFA in 1971, both from Tufts University; holds an honorary DFA from the Rhode Island School of Design; and a graduate certificate from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. Mr. Geisser was the art director at the Rhode Island School for the Deaf from 1973 to 2003. Earlier in his career, he served as the art coordinator at the Boston School for the Deaf, an art instructor at the Boston High School Scholarship Program and an art instructor at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. Mr. Geisser is a member and past president of the Rhode Island Art Education Association, and from 2014 to 2016, served as Eastern Region Vice President of the National Art Education Association. He was named a 50th Anniversary Scholar by the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C., in 1991, and in 2011, the National Art Education Association established the annual “Peter J. Geisser Special Needs Art Educator of the Year Award. Harry Frech received a BS in industrial engineering from the University of Missouri in 1968, as well as an MA in economics in 1970 and PhD in economics in 1974, both from the University of California Los Angeles. He did not pursue a career in engineering, but found his niche in economics as he found it to be rigorous, useful and intuitive. Dr. Frech works at the University of California Santa Barbara as a professor of economics and technology management, and the Petris Center for Health Care Markets as affiliated faculty. He is also on the American Antitrust Institute Advisory Board and is an American Enterprise Institute Adjunct Scholar. Prior, Dr. Frech held positions with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and the Center for Naval Analysis, as well taught at the University of Chicago, Curtin University in Australia, Harvard University and the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School. A writer and presenter of numerous works, Dr. Frech is a member of the editorial board for the International Journal of Health Economics and Management; International Journal of the Economics of Business; and Regulation.
