Mosemann II obtained a BA in social science in 1957 and an MA in international relations in 1959, both from the University of Chicago. He served as deputy assistant secretary in the U.S. Air Force, where he built his career around service and technology. A distinguished member of his field, Mr. Mosemann authored the acclaimed 2006 book “AntiChrist in the Midst.” Prior to his retirement in 2007, Mr. Mosemann was the senior vice president of corporate development at Science Applications International Corporation. In1996, he received theH.MarkGrove Award for Excellence in Software Management. That year, he was named to the Government Computer News Hall of Fame and received the 100 Award from Federal Computer Week. Likewise, Mr. Mosemann had an extensive career with the U.S. Air Force in Washington, D.C. Between 1971 and 1996, he worked as deputy assistant secretary of computers and support systems; deputy assistant secretary of communications, computers and logistics; deputy assistant secretary of logistics and communications; and deputy of supply and maintenance. He contributed to the planning of Ada programming language standards for major Air Force computer systems. Mr. Mosemann commenced his career in 1958 with the Navy Electronics Supply Office. By 1962, he was an inventory management specialist for the Defense Electronics Supply Center, and spent 1963 to 1969 with the Naval Supply Systems Command as head of the integrated retail supply and support branch. For two years, he was the Defense Logistics Agency’s Logistics Support Analysis Office Deputy Chief. Mr. Mosemann has been the recipient of numerous military accolades, including the Defense Meritorious Civilian Service Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal and Decorated Distinguished Service Medal. He is also a five- time recipient of the Exceptional Civilian Service Medal and was granted the Meritorious Senior Executive Award from the President of the United States in 1982. LLOYD K.
