228 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine D r. Eva Marie Rzucidlo became a vascular surgeon after seeing how the work of her mentor, Dr. Frank Logerfo, made a difference in medicine and in the lives of others. Wanting to offer that same aid, Dr. Rzucidlo received a BA in biological chemistry, with honors, from Wellesley University in 1988 and an MD from the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in 1993. She completed a residency at the New England Deaconess Hospital in 2000 and vascular research and clinical vascular fellowships at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in 2002. Since 2016, Dr. Rzucidlo has been a clinical associate professor at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Clinic, clinical associate professor of surgery at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, and a staff surgeon at McLeod Vascular Associates in South Carolina. Additionally, she has been a staff surgeon at the Mary Hitchcock Memorial Hospital since 2002 and has served on the editorial board of the Journal of Vascular Surgery since 2012. Prior to her current roles, Dr. Rzucidlo was an associate professor at the Dartmouth Medical School, Cheshire Medical Center and the VA Hospital of White River Junction. She was also a vascular surgeon at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Clinic from 2002 to 2016. Dr. Rzucidlo is licensed to practice medicine in South Carolina, New Hampshire and Massachusetts, and holds vascular surgery and general surgery certifications. Dr. Rzucidlo was the recipient of the 2015 Student Research Fellowship Award, and she was inducted into the Thomas P. Almy Chapter of the Gold HumanismHonor Society. A distinguished fellow of the Society for Vascular Surgery, she was also awarded the Dow Crichlow Career Development Award from the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center and the Deterling Award for Basic Science Research from the 29th Annual Meeting of the New England Society for Vascular Surgery. Dr. Rzucidlo attributes her success to her parents teaching her to push herself in order to succeed. Dr. Rzucidlo is a member of the Society for Vascular Surgery, where she has served on myriad committees, as well as the American Heart Association’s Northern New England Chapter and the New England Society for Vascular Surgery.
