231 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine T hroughout her life, Marsha Schroeder naturally seemed to master the art of relating to people and subsequently helping them through their struggles. She likes to think of herself as a messenger who was given these abilities by God to do her work; she looks at her career as a therapist as not just as a job, but a vocation. Ms. Schroeder received a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Saginaw Valley State University in University Center, Michigan, in 1985, being the first in her family to graduate from college. She then went on to obtain a Master of Science in counseling from Central Michigan University in 1992. A member of the American Counseling Association, Ms. Schroeder is also a licensed professional counselor through Central Michigan University. Since 2003, Ms. Schroeder has worked out of her private practice in East Tawas, Michigan. In the early years of her career, she was an adjunct faculty member of Delta College from 1990 to 2005 and was a distinguished therapist at Catholic Family Service in Saginaw and Midland, Michigan, for 18 years from 1992 to 2010. Between 1993 and 2000, she served as a staff member at St. Helen Catholic School, St. Peter and Paul Catholic School, and St. Stephen Catholic School, all located in Michigan. During her career, the mentors that greatly influenced Ms. Schroeder’s work and personal demeanor were all from the realm of religion, specifically Sister Janine and Sister Ann Reagan. She also credits her husband Tim as a mentor, as if not for his support, Ms. Schroeder would not have been able to pursue her career to the great extent she has thus far. In her free time, Ms. Schroeder enjoys swimming, tennis, traveling, writing, attending car shows, racing, gardening, horseback riding and spending time with her family. With her husband, she has two sons, Tim II and Steven, and five grandchildren: Meghan, David, Dustin, Dylan and Janelle. As a testament to her success, Ms. Schroeder has also been featured in Who’s Who in Medicine and Healthcare, Who’s Who in the World and Who’s Who of American Women.
