255 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine in doing hair, as it was a creation of her own that would later bring happiness and confidence. Since 2016, she has been the sole owner of the salon Crowned with Beauty in Austin, Texas. Specializing in cuts, highlights, balayage, coloring and keratin treatments, among other services, Ms. White utilizes Amika and L’Oréal Professional products for her clients. Ms. White was recognized by Austin Woman Magazine as a Woman to Watch of 2019, and she has also been the recipient of a Leadership Award. Also featured in Austin Women, she attributes her success to putting in years of hard work and education, as well as from the support of her family and faith in God. She believes her level of service and dedication to her clients is what sets her apart from the competition. While working at a salon in the Bayside neighborhood of Queens, New York, where she assisted other stylists across all mediums, Ms. White became a certified cosmetologist by the Long Island Beauty School in 2004. An opportunity arose to bring her styling skills to the Middle Eastern country of Kuwait, and after taking a leap of faith, Ms. White and her mother spearheaded a salon of their own in the Middle East. They were the first in the country to own and operate tanning beds. After living in Kuwait for a decade, Ms. White returned to the United States in Austin, Texas, and commenced her efforts in building Crowned with Beauty. In five years’ time, Ms. White hopes to open two more studios and create a personalized product line. In her free time, she enjoys playing golf, and spending time with her dog and her family. She works and lives by the motto, “Invest in your hair; it’s the crown you never take off.” E ver since she was a young girl, Candis White watched her mother put in hair rollers and tease her hair. Soon thereafter, Ms. White developed a love for curling, straightening, blow- drying, coloring, highlighting and cutting hair.
